User Guidelines

The holdings of the TAL are available to the interested public and for scientific work. Anyone registered with us as a user (which entails the acceptance of our terms and conditions for users) has free access to our holdings.
The archive material, research tools and holdings may be viewed in the purpose-built rooms at the archive.
The archive’s users have access to the catalogues and material supplied by staff members who will also provide competent and professional help and advice.

For the use of archive material in publications, users will need to apply for the appropriate authorisation and quote the archive as their source. Furthermore, they are required to supply the archive with a copy of the published work as soon as it appears (terms and conditions for users 1.4. 1993).

Items from the library can only be borrowed in exceptional cases and if there is more than one copy. A maximum of three items may be borrowed over a weekend and a fee as well as a deposit applies.
